Dinner time…..it seems to be a common stressful time for parents with young or even older children! Making dinner with three kids under the age of 5 can be exhausting! We all know that time….kids come home from school, husband comes home from work, Mommy wants a break from the baby or also wants to relax from a long day at work, and everyone is hungry! Now that my two sons are a bit older it’s a little easier to distract them with a quick snack before dinner, playtime or even a tv show while I get busy in the kitchen. My daughter on the other hand, tends to be her clinginess when i’m in the kitchen 🙂 The First Years sent me their new Mickey Mouse Helping Hand Feeding and Activity Seat that you can purchase at Babies R Us and I must say, it has been a huge help!
This feeding seat comes with three toys: roller ball, rattle head, and spring hand! The hands are designed to hold a cup or the roller ball.
My daughter is currently teething and is really enjoying the spring hand 🙂
The feeding tray offers 3 positions, and the 3-point harness ensures that even the wriggliest of babies are safe and will stay put 🙂
There is even a storage place in the back that holds wipes, diapers and bibs! My daughter has been able to play and learn while I’m making dinner. The toys are definitely a great distraction and with the suction cups on the bottom I don’t have to worry about playing the “drop and pick it up” game 🙂
I would love to know… is dinner a stressful time in your household? What are some tricks you have for making meal time a little easier and enjoyable with young children?
