Back to School: Add pretty foiled elements to any composition notebook! #foilallthings

It’s time for another Minc project my friends! I’m having such a fun time putting together different crafts using this machine. This month I decided to take a normal composition notebook and girly, totally an adjective :), it up.  We are only a few weeks away from the beginning of a new school year and this would be such a fun craft for the kids to do. These foiled composition notebooks would also make a great gift idea for those who like to doodle or journal.

SUPPLIES:

Minc Machine

Minc ready scrapbooking paper.  (you can find the Minc machine and supplies at Joann, Hobby Lobby and even some local craft stores)

Composition Notebook

Glue Stick or Modge Podge

Decorative Minc Elements or clipart printed from a toner based printer.

Minc Foil

First I decided what paper I wanted on my composition notebook and cut it to match the size of my notebook.

I then placed the paper with the foil on top of the paperin the clear applicator sleeve and ran it through the Minc Machine at the heat level of 2.

You can either use a glue stick to attach your foiled paper to the notebook or Modge Podge would work as well you will just have to let it dry in between your layers.  Modge Podge will definitely allow your notebook to last longer.

I ran my other design elements through the Minc Machine with some coordinating colors and attached them to my notebook.

I just love how shiny and beautiful the different elements are.  It’s so hard to capture it on camera but it really is so sparkly!

Have you gone back to school shopping with your kids yet? We just got my son his supplies earlier this week.  K4 here we come! ( I definitely have mixed feelings about my first baby going to school)
