I’m a sucker for the sugary breakfast options. Oh, you know the pancakes, waffles, muffins and more : ) While they aren’t great options for an everyday breakfast we like to enjoy these yummy breakfast “treats” once a week.  A few weeks ago my kids requested cinnamon rolls.  While we love our orange blueberry sweet rolls I wanted to try something a little different.   I know pumpkin cinnamon rolls aren’t necessarily a new thing but my goodness friends you have got to try this easy pumpkin cinnamon roll recipe! Not only is pumpkin in the actual roll but also in the filling as well.  While it’s not overly pumpkin it does have a nice flavor for this crisp time of the year.

When developing this easy pumpkin cinnamon roll recipe I wanted to create a recipe that could be done in about 1 hour.  I don’t know about you but with three kids under the age of 6 I don’t typically have 2 or more hours to spend in the kitchen to make one food item.  The cinnamon roll dough of this recipe really only needs to sit for about 10 minutes before you start adding your delicious pumpkin sugar mixture.

These pumpkin cinnamon rolls still turned out soft and fluffy without all the raising time.  The “semi-“sweet cream cheese frosting is the perfect glaze for these rolls.  Not only will these pumpkin cinnamon rolls make your mouth water but they will have your house smell amazing.  I can’t think of much more that smells better to me than bread dough rising and a sweet pumpkin and cinnamon sugar mixture baking.  All of the flavors combine to make a delicious fall treat that is perfect for Thanksgiving morning, family gatherings or harvest parties.

    Hi,
I made this recipe this weekend, it came out well, but there is an issue with the recipe. Under ingredients for dough you listed: 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
    1/2 tsp cinnamon
    1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
But never indicated in the instructions when to add it.

I added it right before the mix for 7 minutes step, but it should be added to the instructions when to add these ingredients.

    Thanks!
