Cinnamon Sugar Tortilla Chips
These cinnamon sugar tortilla chips are such a fun and delicious treat that is great all year long. It’s an easy way to get your kids to eat more fruit and it is super customizable based on your families fruit preferences. You only need a few simple pantry ingredient and a few minutes to bake the chips in the oven and this tasty treat will ready to enjoy.
We like to make different varieties of fruit salsa depending on what fruit is in season during that time of the year. This particular fruit salsa is made up of blueberries, apples and mango, but you can easily add strawberries, raspberries, kiwi and other favorites.
The cinnamon sugar tortilla chips are surprisingly easy and the cinnamon sugar adds a yummy crunch to every bite. My kids love being able to pick out their favorite cookie cutters and cooking then using their shapes to eat the fruit salsa. This can also be a good way to teach your younger kids about their shapes.
How to make Cinnamon Sugar Tortilla Chips:
- First, decide what type of cookie cutters you want to use. Cut your shapes out of your tortillas. ( Pop the tortillas in the microwave for a few seconds if you find that it’s hard to cut your shapes out)
- Spread some melted butter on top and sprinkle with a mixture of cinnamon and sugar
-
Bake at 350 degrees for about 7-10 minutes depending on how “crunchy” you want them to be!
