Cat in the Hat Cookies: a simple and fun way to celebrate Dr. Seuss day, birthday parties and more!
Cat in the Hat Cookies
Dr. Seuss has been a favorite in many families for quite some time and for good reason! When my oldest son was in Kindergarten his classroom was centered around Dr. Seuss and all the fun whimsical colors and characters. He loved it! My boys really enjoyed the Cat in the Hat TV series when they were a bit smaller too. These cat in the hat cookies were a fun and simple treat we made one day to celebrate our love of Dr. Seuss! You only need a few simple ingredients that you probably already have on hand. The strawberries and bananas make this a healthy treat the kids can enjoy with a touch of sweetness from the cookie 🙂
Ingredients for Cat in the Hat Cookies
You only need three simple ingredients to make these fun cat in the hat cookies. You most likely already have them on hand. Don’t like chocolate Oreo’s feel free to swap them for the golden variety 🙂
- Oreo cookies
- Bananas
- Strawberries
How to make Cat in the Hat Cookies:
- Separate your Oreo Cookies. Save the cookie half that has the cream filling attached. Either save the other half for another recipe or just eat it 🙂
- Slice your Strawberries so that they are round.
- Slice your bananas.
- Stack your strawberries and bananas on top of the Oreo cookie, cream side up, alternating between the two fruits until ending with a strawberry on top. .
This is such a delicious and fun treat for the kids. They would be great for Dr. Seuss day, birthday parties and even classroom parties where food is allowed. Do your kids love Cat in the Hat and all his crazy adventures?

How stable are these. Would they fall in transport? Thank you.
Katie says
Hi Melissa! I think they would probably fall over. You can either build them at the site OR stick a toothpick through the layers…that might help keep them in place.
Melissa says
Ok, thank you. 🙂
