I have joined up with more than 30 AMAZING bloggers to tackle the challenge of creating a patriotic project or recipe without using the traditional red, white and blue color scheme! How fun is that?! Starting last week and running through July 4th, more than 30 projects will be shared on some of the most awesome blogs around. I can’t wait to see all of the inspirational projects and hope YOU will find some inspiration as well.
I love all the state pride shirts that I have seen floating around the web and I decided to make a fun state pride framed art for 4th of July. I used my Silhouette Cameo to create a United States template. If you don’t have a silhouette cameo I’m sure you could find a stencil or even trace the outline on a piece of paper and make your own stencil.
I attached my stencil to a piece of fabric cut to the size of my picture from. I then used some brown metallic paint and sponged the words “Land that I love” and filled the United States template. I even lightly painted my frame.
I cut out a small paper heart and glued it on top of the state that I live in—Pennsylvania!
It’s such a fun addition to any Fourth of July decor!
Now, before you head out, be sure to check out the AMAZING projects that were shared last week AND be sure to enter for your chance to win a $310 Target Gift Card by using the Rafflecopter at the end of the post!
