Valentines day is soon approaching and it’s not too late to decorate for it! I like to keep my decorations simple and being able to reuse them each year is always a plus! This paper heart wreath is so simple! Do you have a crazy amount ( or even just a little bit ) of scrapbook paper laying around? Good! Because besides ribbon and glue, that’s all you need!
I don’t have a fancy Cricuit or Silhouette…I know…I NEED to get one! It’s on my wish list already but until then, I just freehanded 3 different size heart templates and cut. You know, the ole fashion way that takes 3x as long as you people with your fancy shmancy cutting machines ( okay–the green monster went back into hiding—giggle 🙂 ) I used my three heart templates to cut out a bunch ( very technical term right there) of hearts from different but matching scrapbook paper. I really don’t know how many hearts I ended up cutting out. It really wasn’t that many. I made some BIG hearts that would take up more room and just filled in with some smaller hearts.
You will also need to cut out a large circle with the middle cut out…( see picture) to the size that you want your wreath to be.
Lay down all of your hearts until you get your desired look then glue them to the paper wreath.
Cut a piece of ribbon and attach to the back of your wreath and hang! 🙂 So pretty!
