Hi friends! I hope you aren’t getting sick of Valentines day stuff because i’m loving it 🙂 I have such a cute and super simple project for you–Fabric Envelopes! These make such cute Valentine’s Day gifts for your kids filled with candy or a sweet love note for your hubby. I made these envelopes out of flannel which makes the project soft and it doesn’t fray.
First cut out a rectangle shape.
You can decide how big or small you want your envelope to be.
Lay your fabric pretty side down and upside down( if you are working with a one directional pattern like I am–if you aren’t then just lay it pretty side down).
Fold your fabric in half lengthwise and cut a diagonal.
Fold your bottom part up and sew down both sides of the envelope. I sewed 3/4 inch seam so that I could cut the edges with pinking shears.
Top stitch the top part of your envelope and use pinking shears to finish. Attach any desired embellishments.
Happy Crafting! Enjoy passing sweet love notes to your loved ones 🙂
