Jack-O-Lantern Tortilla Chips & Salsa Dip: a delicious treat that is perfect for family night or a fun halloween party!

Friday nights are typically our family night whether that be playing games, watching a movie or just taking a walk outside. It’s important to try to set aside at least one day a week where you can spend time with your family with minimal distractions. We always try to have some fun snacks during our family nights and these Jack-O-Lantern Tortilla Chips and Salsa Dip are the perfect snack. They are a great addition to Tastefully Simple’s Family Game Night Collection. I was inspired by Tastefully Simple’s fun Quesadillas and decided to add a fun halloween twist to them.

Ingredients and Supplies for Jack-O-Lantern Tortilla Chips:

Flour Tortilla Wraps
Cookie Cutters and small pairing knife
Butter, melted
Tastefully Simple Corn Black Bean Salsa
Cream Cheese
Cooked Chicken, shredded or cut into cubes

Using your circle cookie cutter, cut out as many circles out of the flour tortilla that you can. Using a small pairing knife, carefully cut out Jack-O-Lantern faces. Place tortilla faces on a Silpat covered baking dish.

Brush melted butter on top of the tortilla faces and sprinkle with sea salt. You could also sprinkle the tortillas with your favorite spiced herbs. Bake tortilla chips in the oven at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes or until lightly browned.

While your tortilla chips are baking, add some cooked shredded chicken, Tastefully Simple’s Corn, Black Bean Salsa and a small amount of cream cheese in a small bowl. Place in microwave and heat until cheese has melted and chicken is hot. You could also bake this dip in the oven with another layer of mozzarella cheese on top.
