I love jewelry but I don’t like spending a lot of money on it. I decided to try to make my own and let me tell you, I have a greater respect for those of you who make jewelry! I started and restarted this piece of jewelry about 5 times. I tried 5 different ways and things were just NOT working for me! It doesn’t help that I don’t have the correct tools to make jewelry—However, I am very happy with how this piece ended up! It’s simple and doesn’t fall directly in the middle but to the side which is super fun!
Please remember that since I DON’T make jewelry there may be a few other ways to make this that would be easier or better. This just worked for me.
1. I picked up a bead strand from Joanns. It was on clearance for $2. I ended up only using 2 beads so I have plenty for another project.
2 &3. I used a pre-made chain and added a split ring to one end and a lobster clasp.
4. I added the beads to the chain, made a rolled fabric flower and attached it with hot glue. I also hot glued the beads to the flower in order to keep them in place.
