Cat in the Hat Cookies: a simple and fun way to celebrate Dr. Seuss day, birthday parties and more!
Dr. Seuss is a favorite in many families and for good reason! My children’s kindergarten classroom is centered around Dr. Seuss and all the fun and whimsical colors and characters. My boys even love the Cat in the Hat TV series. These cat in the hat cookies were a fun and simple treat we made one day to celebrate our love of Dr. Seuss! You only need a few simple ingredients that you probably already have on hand. The strawberries and bananas make this a healthy treat the kids can enjoy with a touch of sweetness from the cookie 🙂
Ingredients for Cat in the Hat Cookies:
Break your Oreo cookies in half, being careful to keep the icing on one side. We found if we used the double stuff Oreo’s they were easier to split while keeping some icing on both sides of the cookies.
Cut your strawberries and bananas and place them top of your Oreo cookie alternating between bananas and strawberries.
This is such a delicious and fun treat for the kids. They would be great for Dr. Seuss day, birthday parties and even classroom parties where food is allowed. Do your kids love Cat in the Hat and all his crazy adventures?
