Rope Anchor Coasters

Rope Anchor Coasters

Nothing makes me think of Summer more than the beach!  I love relaxing in the sand and cooling off in the water!  For this months Creative Buzz project we decided to create with the theme Beach in mind!  I LOVE the new trend of nautical decor that has hit most stores–although I think nautical has been a trend for quite some time :)  My sister Ashlea is a big fan of anchors so I decided to whip up some fun rope anchor coasters the other day.

Materials

1 yard of rope for each coaster

black fabric marker

sheet of felt

Materials

Hot glue your rope to your sheet of felt and begin to twist around.  Continue going in a circle until you have no more rope.

Rope

Using pinking shears or regular scissors cut around your rope coaster.  I cut about a 1/4 of an inch away from the rope so that the yellow would show through.   Using your fabric marker, draw a anchor shape on top of the rope.  Allow ink to fully dry before using.
