Flower Napkin Ring

Flower Napkin Ring

Who’s ready for Spring?!  I know I sure am!  I am so sick of the snow and being cold.  I know spring will be here soon and I for one can’t wait to hear the birds chirping and see the flowers start to bloom!  These flower napkin rings were inspired by my love and NEED of spring.  They are perfect for an Easter dinner, Mothers Day and throughout the summer!

1. Pick three matching fabrics.

2. Cut out three circles, one from each fabric.  My largest circle was about 10 inches in diameter and I made each circle after that just a little bit smaller.

3.  Baste stitch ( the longest stitch length) all the way around your circle.

4.  Pull the bottom thread, gathering your fabric until it forms into the shape of a fabric yo yo.  Secure with hot glue if needed.

Once you have all of your yo-yo pieces finished stack on top of each and hand stitch them together and add a button to the top.  For the ring,  I cut a small piece of ribbon and hot glued it to the bottom of the napkin ring.

Hi! I know this is kinda off topic but I was
wondering which blog platform are you using for this website?
I’m getting fed up of WordPress because I’ve had problems
with hackers and I’m looking at alternatives for another platform.
I would be awesome if you could point me in the direction of
    a good platform.

  1. […] Katie from Made to be a Momma shows how to make these pretty fabric flower napkin rings.  The blooms are made of gathered fabric yo-yos, stacked and embellished in the center with a button.  You can make them from bits in your scrap bin.  Or, if you make a set of fabric napkins you could make these flower napkin rings from the same fabrics to coordinate with them. Go to Made to be a Momma for the tutorial.
