Spicy Banana Chill

If you are looking for the {Homemade By You} party CLICK HERE!

With warmer weather comes cooler drinks!  I love smoothies/milkshakes!  I don't care if it's in the middle of the summer or dead of winter.  To me, smoothies are good at any time, but for those of you who like cool drinks in hot weather---it's coming soon!.  This spicy ( meaning nutmeg and cinnamon) is one of my favorites because it uses stuff that's fresh & available all year long and is super fast to whip up!

SPICY BANANA CHILL
1 cup of milk
1 cup of vanilla ice cream
( I'm sure you could subsitute yogurt for a healthier snack)
Dash of Cinnamon & Nutmeg
2 frozen bananas

Mix all ingredients together in your mixer and serve.
Servings: 2 people

Baby Burp Cloths

I live in an area where me and alot of my girlfriends grew up, went to school, graduated, got married and are now having kids.  There is always someone having a new little munckin to squeeze and kiss.
Having a little stockpile of cute gifts is a must :)

Whether you are a first time mother or you already have three kids, welcoming a new little one requires you to need certain baby "supplies."  One thing that is nice to have are burp cloths. There are a million ways to make these.  You can make them out of flannel or cotton.  Long or short.  Straight or with a curve.   I personally like the burp cloths that have a curve to them.  They seem to cover my clothing better.

Supplies:
Fabric ( 2 pieces--Front & Back)
Sewing Machine
Hot Iron

Cut two piece of fabric to your desired shape and size.  Again, I decided to make mine with curves.

Place your two pieces wrong sides together ( ugly sides facing each other) and sew around your burp cloth

When you get near the end, be sure to leave a small opening.
JUST LIKE YOU SEE {HERE} (scroll about half way down)

Turn right side out. Press your opening closed with a hot iron and top stitch.

So simple and so sweet!  Go find some cute boy and girl material and build yourself a cute little stockpile!

Happy Crafting!

It's a beautiful day in the Neighborhood

Sorry I have been MIA the past couple of days......It has been beautiful here today...upper 60's and I am loving it! The little guy and I have been busy reading books on our outdoor steps and watching the cars go by......

He loves books!
The fact that my son is going to be ONE in a few weeks makes the realization that time goes by so fast
even more apparent!

I decided....lets put down the computer, turn off the TV and head outside.

Time spent with our little ones is only here for so long and I want to be remembered for doing the things that mattered with him....that endless mound of laundry can certainly wait a few more hours.

What do you do with your little ones on these gorgeous days?!
