Extreme Blog Makeover
I am soo sorry if you had to endure the craziness of me switching different blog designs. I tried a few :) I was hoping that no one would get stuck in the middle of my blog looking like a disaster! A few days ago, I decided my blog needed a bit of a makeover, since my original design was just to get started. Knowing that there are probably alot of other people who want a little blog makeover, I decided I would compile a list of some of the sites I found that offer FREE Blog Templates and Backgrounds. They also will do custom designs for you as well. I couldn't afford to get a custom design yet, but I am so thankful that these wonderful blogger ladies allow us to use some of there creative designs for free! Here is a lists of a few of the blog sites I found. There are plenty more that I didn't even get a chance to look at.
I got my lovely design from----
It was so hard to decide on just one! Here are some other fantastic sites!

Sewing Machine Cover
UPDATE: "Homemade by You" Link party is going on now. Link you to receive and get inspiration! :)
If you are new to sewing this is a PERFECT project for you! This tutorial is so simple! If you are a more advanced sewer this tutorial is great for you too---sometimes it's nice to be able to go back to the "basics".
Something simple = Happy crafter.
If you have a sewing machine, you can definetly use one of these. Not only can a cover add style and color to your room, but it is also somewhat of an necessity. The cover helps keep dust and particles away from your sewing machines parts when it's not being used.
Materials:
Fabric
Ribbon
Measure your Sewing Machine from the front side, over the top, and down the back side.
My sewing machine measured 25 inches.
Measure the width of your sewing machine from side to side.
My machine measured 15 inches. ( No Picture)
Since we will be using a 1/2 seam allowance, I added 1 inch to my measurements.
My new measurement was 26 in. x 16 in.
Cut out your piece of fabric matching the size of your machine.
(I cut my piece on the fold of the fabric so I only needed to cut it as a 13 in. x 16 in. piece. If you decide to not cut on the fold, just cut out a piece of fabric matching your measurements.)
I wanted a contrasting band on my cover. If you don't want one then skip these next few steps.
Cut a strip of contrasting fabric the width you desire. I made mine 4 1/2 inches ( Finished it will be 4 inches because of the 1/2 inch seam allowance) Make sure the length of your strip is as long as your cover if not more, you can always trim off the excess.
Fold your contrasting fabric strip in half lengthwise and sew.
Turn your tube right side out. Press your tube so that the seam is in the middle of the back of your band.
Place your band on top of your cover at least 4 inches away from the side and pin in place.
Sew down both sides of your band, getting as close to the edge as possible.
Cut 4 pieces of ribbon at your desired length.
My pieces were about 13 1/2 inches, long enough to be able to tie the ribbons in a bow.
Starting with the long sides of your cover. Fold over 1/4 inch and repeat. This will allow you to have a finished edge. Once you have folded the edge over twice, sew down the length of it.
Place one end of your ribbon 7 inches away from the bottom. Do this for all 4 ribbons. ( You should have 2 ribbons on one side and 2 on the other, both 7 inches away from the bottom)
Make sure you backstitch over it.
Fold over your bottom edges 1/4 inch, repeat and sew.
Add some Rolled Fabric Flowers --Tutorial found (HERE) or whatever else you would
like and your finished!!
Happy Crafting!

Guest Post: Valentines Day Printables with One Artsy Mama
Hey there, Pincushion Creations Readers!
I'm Amy, aka One Artsy Mama, and I'm happy to be swapping blogs with Katie today.
Katie's over at my place sharing a fun Valentine idea and she invited me here to share a couple of printables with you...
But first, who am I?
Well, first and foremost, I'm wife to my best friend {for 10 yrs now!}, and I'm mama to this adorable Little Crafter, who turned 3 in August.
I'm also a professional ballroom, latin, and swing dancer who recently started my own business after working in studios since 2006.
I'm a lover of books, music, photography, and all things creative. Passionate about Jesus, dance, Ravens football, and my family. Happiest when I'm creating something. Addicted to Starbucks.
Today I wanted to share with you a few printables for Valentine's Day.
This time of year, everyone tends to start thinking about all the best love stories, both real and fictional, and I'm no exception. I was an English major in college and am a total Jane Austen fanatic...my favorite novel, of course, being Pride and Prejudice.
I can't even count how many times I've read this novel or watched the wonderful 6 hour BBC movie.
I've even convinced hubby to watch the movie a time or two and he admitted that it's good stuff.
{But don't tell him I divulged his secret!!}
So, I figured it was a great source for a few good quotes. Here's one of my absolute favorites:
Then, of course, there's that classic line from Chapter 1...
This quote isn't actually found in the book, it's from the 2005 movie version {which I don't particularly care for}, but how can you resist the sentiment? Although the 'real' Darcy doesn't say it quite like this, I think it's in keeping with the rest of what he does express.
Well, hope you enjoy them! And I hope you'll stop by One Artsy Mama to see what Katie has to share!
I also have lots of fun holiday craft ideas both for you and for any little crafters you might have around.
Stop by on Fridays for the Shine on Fridays link party to gain and share lots of inspiration, and I also have some fun givewaways coming up soon! Hope to see you there! After all,
Have a great day and Happy Crafting!
