Sadly, summer is over. The kids are back to school which means my Hubby is back to school teaching and I am driving kids to and from school each day. We had a great summer. Check out a few of the fun things we did HERE!
During the summer, my husband loves to grill various meats and such. One day a few weeks ago he found a great BBQ sauce at {Simply Scratch} and decided to whip some together and make some boneless spare ribs and they were excellent!! ( Yes, this post is long overdue)
What wife doesn't love a man that can help cook....he even makes desserts because quite frankly I'm not a huge fan of baking...I would much rather be sewing :) I'm thankful for a husband who is willing to tackle dinner and other household chores when life gets a little crazy on the Momma's side( it's never because I get distracted doing crafts :)..cough cough.) or pregnancy isn't agreeing with me or just because he loves me.
Homemade BBQ Sauce
From: Simply Scratch
1-1/2 cups Dark Brown Sugar, packed
1-1/4 cups Ketchup
1/2 cup Red Wine Vinegar
1/2 cup Water
1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
2-1/2 teaspoons Ground Mustard
2 teaspoons Paprika
1-1/2 teaspoons Kosher Salt
1 teaspoon Black Pepper
1-1/4 cups Ketchup
1/2 cup Red Wine Vinegar
1/2 cup Water
1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
2-1/2 teaspoons Ground Mustard
2 teaspoons Paprika
1-1/2 teaspoons Kosher Salt
1 teaspoon Black Pepper
Measure and add all ingredients to a large bowl and whisk well until the
sugar has dissolved and the spices are thoroughly distributed. Serve
immediately or cover and store in fridge or freeze!
*** Next time we make this recipe the only change we will make is cooking it on the stove for about 15 minutes. It will help all the spices blend together. All in personal preferences. It tastes great without doing it!***

Can't wait to try this! Thanks for the recommendation!
